Athens, Greece recently hosted the highly anticipated 2023 World of Coffee and the World Coffee Championships, attracting over 140 coffee professionals from across the globe. The city witnessed outstanding performances from participants in the four disciplines of the competition. Andrii Vasyliev became the first Ukrainian to win a prize at the World of Coffee Championship. Andriy took third place in the Cup Tasters category.
The World Coffee Championships began a day before the World of Coffee trade show, setting the stage for an intense and exhilarating event. Competitors showcased their skills in the World Barista Championship, World Brewers Cup, World Cup Tasters, and World Cezve/Ibrik Championship.
The livestreamed competitions showcased the mastery of the coffee professionals. From signature beverages to experimental coffees, the judges faced a tough task in evaluating the exceptional talent on display. The decision-making process was challenging, given the high level of expertise demonstrated by the participants.
